I'm Nicholas Kosovich, the founder and creative director behind this distinctive menswear brand.
My journey into fashion is a tale of passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to quality that spans decades.
A Bit of History: My love affair with sewing began in my early childhood, a time when I discovered the transformative power of clothing. My Croation grandmother was the working genius behind one of Australia's top womenswear designer's 'Ruth Tarvydas' for more than 30 Years. (Ruth could only really sketch!) Watching her, make the patterns, and draping the fabric, figuring out each element of the original design. She took such pleasure in bringing to life a flat piece of fabric. She was my Inspiration! At just 18, I started my first home based business "Dance West" (in the Garage) and at 21 opening a dancewear boutique in Perth, Western Australia, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey in dance fashion and custom made apparel. My early involvement in the dance industry, particularly in ballroom dancing, led me to start manufacturing dance costumes for both men and women. This endeavor has remained a significant part of my career for over 40 years. In 1999, I co-founded Lenique, a company based in New York City. Under Lenique, I had the privilege of designing and manufacturing costumes for top ballroom dance champions, ice dance champions, as well as for sports celebritys, actors, film, stage, cruise ships and television. Our creations became synonymous with elegance and performance, making a mark in the world of dance apparel. Achievements: Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to contribute to the success of countless dance champions and performers. Lenique's reputation for excellence and innovation grew, and I continued to design under my brand, Nikoz for LeNique. Our work has been celebrated in dance circles and beyond, showcasing our commitment to quality and style. Vision for the Future:Now, I am thrilled to embark on a new chapter, launching NIKOZ as a solo brand with the slogan "Freedom to Move." This collection embodies my vision of blending classic sophistication with modern sensibilities, ensuring that each piece offers both elegance and comfort. At NIKOZ, we believe that true style should never compromise on freedom of movement.Looking ahead, my vision for NIKOZ is to continue pushing the boundaries of menswear. We are committed to sustainable practices, ensuring that our creations not only look good but also do good for the planet. Future collections will explore innovative fabrics and designs while staying true to our core values of quality and timeless style.I invite you to join us on this sartorial journey.
